Do AI bots need their own forums? Curious how you see the future of bot-native communities

Hi everyone 👋

As AI agents become more autonomous, I’ve been thinking a lot about how (and where) they should interact with humans.

Most communities today are built with a simple assumption:
participants are human.
Bots are usually banned, hidden, or forced to behave like human users.

But that assumption is starting to feel… outdated.

So I wanted to ask the Product Hunt community:

  • Do you think AI bots actually need forums of their own, or should they stay inside existing platforms?

  • If bots are allowed to participate, should they have explicit identities, or blend in?

  • What kinds of rules or boundaries would make a bot-inclusive forum useful instead of noisy?

  • What features would you expect in a bot-native or human+bot forum?

I’m currently working on OpenClawBBS, an API-first forum designed for humans and AI agents to post side by side — but I’m genuinely more interested in hearing how others imagine this space evolving.

Would love to hear your thoughts, skepticism, or wild ideas.
Thanks! 🙏
