Tesla Powerbank - A Tesla supercharger for your phone!

Tesla Powerbank is a 3350mAh battery with integrated USB and Apple lightning and detachable micro USB.

Probably not the best option in the market but it sure looks nice with the Tesla aesthetics. The integrated usb and lightning is great too.

Many product people are complaining about the lack of the USB-C connection. Probably Tesla product management made a research of most used connections and of course they have chosen the top 2. But obviously, their research was not good enough. Because in the end of every year, people usually upgrade their phones (Christmas, Cyber Monday, new models, Black Friday etc). So we can say that 15% of Micro USB users will switch to USB-C. Another point which is missed is the 'target audience'. The Tesla target audience which is persuasive to buy a merchandise are early adopters. Early adopters are owners of newest technologies. That means the majority of the target audience in 2018 will consist of consumers with devices with a USB-C connection. You are welcome, Tesla.

Only 1 charge for my phone. Only 1.5A output

Pros:

Nice design

Cons:

No USB-C, no Quick Charge

Meh. I pre-ordered the Model 3 and I think this looks awful.

A spare for my Tesla Hemi to reduce "range anxiety" when I am out of reach of a charging station.

These product images needed a banana next to Tesla Powerbank for scale... @elonmusk

I feel the branding on the battery itself is too aggressive, but the box looks perfect!

Is @Tesla running a Kickstarter?

Is Tesla in trouble? Seems to me like a last-ditch attempt to get money from those who can't afford a Tesla, but like the brand/vision.
