The safety features, self diagnostics, and operational efficiency gains make a compelling case for replacing the traditional diesel truck with a Tesla Semi. Would pickup and delivery facilities be willing to invest in on-site charging stations to be utilized during loading and unloading? Deliveries are often executed in a way where the trailer is simply dropped off to be unloaded by the facility at a later time, damaging the case for on-site charging stations. A solution could be to stock charged batteries at truck stops or fuel stations that could be quickly swapped. This business model would likely require a leasing system for batteries, rather than owning them.

There's so much potential for driver comfort and safety! Honestly though, my favourite feature is going to be noise reduction. I live in an area with a lot of transport traffic and I think this will make a huge difference in how goods are shipped through small communities. Can't wait to see how this changes the industry.
