Parallaxe - Compare German news coverage β left, center & right
byβ’
π¬π§ Parallaxe puts German-language coverage of a single event side by side β left, center and right β in each outlet's own words, sources
attributed, without rating. The reader draws the line. Free, no account, cookieless.
π©πͺ Parallaxe stellt die deutschsprachige Berichterstattung zu einem Ereignis nebeneinander β links, Mitte und rechts β in den Worten der
Quellen, belegt und ohne Bewertung. Der Leser zieht die Linie. Kostenlos, ohne Konto, cookielos.

the no-rating approach is honestly such a refreshing call, especially since it forces you to actually read each side's framing instead of skimming for a verdict. and going cookieless with no signup for a news tool is basically unheard of now
@derinhrdavh1ayΒ thanks, that means a lot. The no-score part is the whole point for me β the moment you hand someone a verdict, you've done their reading for them. So the tool just puts the wording next to each other and stays out of the way. Glad that came through.
Love the no-account, no-cookie approach. One thing that would help: let users save a side-by-side comparison or share it as a single permalink. When I find a topic I want to send to a friend or reference later, right now I'd have to screenshot it, which kind of defeats the cookieless setup.
@mer1060139Β thank you β and good news, that already works! Every comparison is its own page with a clean, permanent URL (e.g. parallaxe.at/wegner-rueckzug), so you can just copy the link and send it β no screenshot, no account, and it stays cookieless. What you're describing on top of that β deep-linking to one specific side-by-side view within a story β is a genuinely good idea we hadn't nailed down yet. Noting it. Thanks for taking the time.
finally a tool that actually shows the bias without telling you what to think. pulled up the latest coverage on a political story and the side by side format made the framing differences jump out instantly.
@eyllyuguar3a3wΒ thank you! I'd put it a little more modestly β it doesn't judge the coverage, it just sets the wording side by side and leaves the reading to you. But you got the intent exactly right, and I'm glad the side-by-side made the differences easy to see. Appreciate you trying it.
Tried it on a story I'd already read across multiple outlets and the side-by-side view really did make the framing differences pop. The no-account, cookieless setup is a nice touch too.
@abdulsametykznΒ thank you β that's exactly the use I hoped for: bring your own story, one you already read across a few outlets, and see the wording lined up. Really appreciate you trying it that way and taking the time to comment.
