wow. I have won it. But it is not bad for new chess players. I think she's the rate is around 1700 ELO.

The code's shown in the How It Works/Info content, and there are links to the original coder's site & book where some of the techniques are explained (note that it's not open source, permission's required)
My online blitz rating is 1200, and I couldn't beat it in two tries. Very impressive!
