Continuous Deployment by Plural - Deploy applications to any Kubernetes environment at scale
by•
Plural is the first end-to-end platform for deploying software on Kubernetes - to public or private cloud. Provision your fleet, deploy your applications, construct release pipelines, and manage all your services in a single pane of glass.
Hello Product Hunt Community!
The Plural team has been working hard and is excited to share our newest solution, Plural for Continuous Deployment: The first self-hosted end-to-end platform for deploying services to Kubernetes.
Don't get stuck making trade-offs between security, cost, and maintainability. We built Plural CD to be the best of all worlds.
With Plural CD, you can manage your services and clusters across their full lifecycle:
✨ Instantly create or (import) & clusters in multiple clouds without writing Terraform.
✨ Import your Git repositories and deploy services to clusters in a couple of clicks.
✨ Build powerful deployment pipelines including blue/green and canary with no scripting required.
✨ Securely using private control planes & outbound bidirectional GRPC.
✨ Leverage our Kubernetes auth proxy to drill into any Kubernetes resource in your fleet.
✨ No more fragile terraform rollouts with our zero downtime upgrades via Cluster API
✨ Handle Kubernetes API deprecations with ease with our built-in deprecation detection
✨ Eliminate time spent stitching together various DevOps tooling.
We'd love to hear your feedback, and we'll be here all day answering your questions!
@sam_weaver@shivam_tiwari24 Hey Shivam, we integrate with most of the clouds by leveraging the Cluster API project, which has a lot of mature controllers for each cloud we can integrate with and build on top of. The rest comes from tight integration with kubernetes and its built-in cloud agnosticity. As far as release pipeline construction, you can easily compose services into stages with promotion gates in-between, all configurable as yaml or terraform (which will be coming soon)
Congratulations, Plural team! 🚀 This launch is a significant milestone. Can't wait to see how Plural transforms the landscape of continuous deployment. Well done!
@amber_gardener thanks Amber! We heard a ton of users speak about the fragmentation in existing tooling, and having to jump into several different UI's to manage their apps and clusters (not to mention that the cloud control pane UI's are often terrible). We have built a really clean yet powerful UI to manage your cluster or application – be able to manage users, shell into pods, or scale things as needed – all with a mouse click! Would love feedback if you get to try it out :-)
Congrats on launching @hamza_afzal_butt love the idea of no scripting for deployment pipelines. How customizable are these pipelines within Plural, especially for unique application needs?
@hamza_afzal_butt@katherine_connor Hey Katherine, we're going to make a host of different promotion gates as part of our pipeline, from basic manual approvals to the ability to run full-scale integration tests. The services themselves are defined using templated kubernetes yaml (helm, kustomize, etc) and could support anything kubernetes natively supports, which is really almost everything.
A big round of applause for the Plural team! 👏 The innovation in Plural CD is evident, and I'm thrilled to explore the possibilities it brings to continuous deployment. Congratulations on the successful launch.
@amelia_charlie thanks Amelia, I appreciate the support! Would love to hear your feedback on the product :-)
