John uses his last Kickstarter as justification that he can be trusted. He claims his last backer was 100% fulfilled. I can't tell you the efforts I took to get them to hear me that I never received a blanket - but I NEVER received a blanket. So it is NOT 100% fulfilled. It is NOT. He is also backing this the same way with stress, health, and anxiety. I am a social science research professor. He HASN'T done actual research to make these claims.

Hi @lorenb1 - this is a separate company from Gravity Blanket. I'd like to reiterate that. However, I'd like to help you resolve this issue. Can you please our team (Moon Pod) an email at support@moonpod.co ? From there, we can see if we're able to contact the team at Gravity Blanket to help. Additionally, the only claims we make about the product specifically are that you feel relaxed when you use it. We'll be on the lookout for your email to see if we can help. Thanks, Greg

@moonpod @gregmschwartz Maybe not the same "company" but the same guy who is using his "success" on Kickstarter last year to promote it. So if you want to detach from that Kickstarter.. don't bring it up in your Kickstarter campaign. Also, talking about "researching stress and anxiety" in any capacity.. is trying to suggest something. You know what you are doing. I am just trying to protect consumers from making the same mistake I did.

@lorenb1 Hi Loren - I certainly understand your concern, and I'm sorry about your experience with the Gravity Blanket. While the creator is the same, we are taking an entirely different approach to this project with a new team. We love the Moon Pod product. It makes us and everyone who has tried it more relaxed. We are excited to deliver the product to our backers, and will do so as soon as we're able to! Thanks, Greg

You’re still lying. When I finally got an answer from gravity blanket, all they said is that they’ll get back to me. The zipper came completely off in less than a week. I’ve reached out to them more times than I can count via fb messenger, the email addresses they listed to contact them on Kickstarter, and in Kickstarter comments. No matter how many times I try to get them to fix this defective product, they never even bother with a reply. This guy has no clue how to run a business, and it shows. Countless numbers of backers are still without their blankets or refunds, and many others received defective items. John has done nothing to remedy this. He thinks just moving on to the next alibaba resell crap will somehow wipe the slate clean. I hope everything you ever try to do in the future crashes and burns after how badly you burned so many of your original backers. And nice job getting alibaba to take down that link. I imagine it went something like this: “I’m going to have to cancel my very large order from you guys if you keep this up on your site, as Kickstarter will (justifiably) freeze my campaign.” So, knowing you’ll be making a big order once the campaign ends, they took it down. I’m sure it’ll be back up once this campaign ends.

@dawn_henke - we're sorry to hear about your experience with Gravity Blanket. Additionally, Moon Pod doesn't produce products from vendors on Alibaba. If you looked at the listings, it was clear that the vendors took our entire kickstarter campaign page and put it on their vendor listing site. Because our amazing backers noticed so quickly and alerted us, we were able to notify the infringing vendors to have their fake listings taken down immediately.

Wow what a ripoff, this chair feels nothing like a float session which the advertisement said, it feels like a plain old bean bag chair. I notice you don't allow reviews on this page that should have been a major red flag to me, I am beyond unhappy with this purchase. what a overpriced piece of junk!!

Pros:

Feels like a bean bag chair

Cons:

IS NOT ZERO GRAVITY does not feel like floating just an overpriced beanbag chair

The moonpod product is an epic troll. The main reason for this is because of a combination of: A) You have to assemble it yourself. B) The product does not arrive ready for assembly. C) When you try to assemble the moonpod, the product breaks and creates a massive mess / headache. I bought the moonpod and when it arrived I noticed that the inner liner of the bean bag was filled far to fill to be placed in the provided outer liner. If you do not place the the inner bag with the beans inside of the outer liner, the product does not work. I tried my best but the cheap zipper on the outer lining broke off immediately. I contacted customer service and was sent another outer lining after 3 -4 weeks. When this arrived, I began removing the excess beans from the inner lining. The amount of overfill was extreme. More than a 12 gallon garbage bag could contain. These beans are not easy to remove, they stick to any surface and at the same time are extremely slippery. While correcting the overfill issue some of the little beans spilled out. I thought "I'll just vacuum them up". NOPE. The beans are so tiny, they have seeped into strange crevices in my bagless vacuum cleaner and are inhibiting its function. This has taken up several hours of my time and now I need to use a compressed air canister to repair my vacuum and am paying for a professional cleaning company to try their best to remove the remaining beans from my carpet. I highly suggest buying from Yogibo instead. Their product came pre-assembled and works great.

Hi Steve - We're sorry about your frustrating experience with Moon Pod. I'd like to ask a few questions to see if we can improve the customer experience here. Did you find the assembly and care instructions in the shipping box? When assembling the product, did you assemble it by yourself or with another person? You wrote a general statement saying, "C) When you try to assemble the moonpod, the product breaks and creates a massive mess." Did you speak to other customers who had the same issue? Did you reach out to customer service to ask for help before assembling or opening the inner beanbag? Thanks, Greg

This thing really is just a bean bag chair. No feeling of floating as advertised. Also way to short to take a nap on and I'm 5'6". My husband at 6' can't get comfortable on it at all. The cover fabric also picks up lint and especially pet hair up like crazy and is hard to clean. It's okay to sit on, but still a massive disappointment. Don't buy!

Pros:

Okay to sit in

Cons:

Not as advertised at all

I bought it for my son because I had to get rid of his giant bean bag bed (that was amazing!( because our house had mold and I was afraid it was in the bed. This item is significantly smaller and more expensive, but I thought I would give it a try. Even though it came to us damaged, they do not accept returns. Even if it weren't damaged, I would hope they would want happy customers...for this kind of money, I am completely disgusted.

Pros:

Nothing right now...haven't used it, really because we were hoping to send it back, but we sat down on it and it was nothing like the video.

Cons:

It came open with beads everywhere leading me to believe it is no better than a regular bean bag chair.

This dude's actually just ignoring all the comments except the ones he can put a positive spin on from the looks of things. And he seems just fine lying to the people who support him. What a manly dude lol

For the amount of money it costs, it should be of higher quality. I can't even imagine having to take the sleeve off to wash it and put it back on. I couldn't even put it on the first time. Piece of crap!

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

The sleeve is a cheap piece of fabric. Extremely difficult to put on the sack of beads. The pod material itself is very thin.

I was so excited to find a really comfortable loungy pod. The marketing made it sound so great and the videos and all really made it sound like a slam dunk. Well, I got suckered. This is a normal, highly overpriced bean bag. I tried all the advertised positions and while the moon pod does easily get into the positions, none of them are comfortable. It does not give a feeling of weightlessness. And they don't allow for refunds. Now I know why because no one would want to keep this at a $300 price. Extremely disappointed...
