⚑ 3 New Problems to Build a Startup | ProblemHunt

Hey Product Hunt πŸ‘‹

1. Real working conditions can't be verified before taking a job β€” reviews lie. Need a service for direct contact with former employees. Willing to pay: Β£50–100 when I successfully get hired.

2. A gambling addict hasn’t been able to quit online casinos for years. All known methods have failed. He has three hypotheses for solving his own problem. Willing to pay $15–30/month.

3. A designer needs an AI agent to eliminate the manual drudgery of adapting designs for mobile/tablet. Willing to pay €20–30 per project.

The middle one is pretty serious, but I like the first one more (it is close to me) – I used to review employees from GlassDoor reviews tho for this.

@busmark_w_nikaΒ Nika, hi! πŸ‘‹

Thank you for sharing your experience. Could you please tell me if you’ve had a similar problem like in problem number 1? If yes, how are you solving this problem now?

Please share your experience. I’m sure it will help everyone who wants to solve this problem πŸ™

@gostroverhovΒ When I was searching for a job, GlassDoor offered quite accur8 angles of view, people were referred to many things (company culture, salary, management, task assignments to get job) – it saved me a lot of time whether I applied or not.

For #1, doing a test when applicable helps. For example, for content editors/writers, I can assign a test piece to gauge their capability from their submission before moving onto the next phase of the interview process.

Since they are on probation upon hiring, the batch of next assignments in their first month will let me know whether they are the ideal candidate for the position.

In this example, I wouldn't need to contact their previous employer as I'm able to see first hand their ability.

To add, many people change jobs while still employed and if they've been at the company for quite a number of years, they wouldn't want you to chat with their active employer. Also, if the prior employer was from too long ago, it wouldn't have relevancy.

As for #2, definitely a market that could use more solutions.
