ā” Coming soon: validated problems for startups with a high chance of success.
byā¢
Hey Product Hunt š, for the past few months we've been working hard on a new type of publication. We called them Ā«Validated ProblemsĀ».
Ā«Validated ProblemsĀ» are problems for which we find at least 20 real people who experience the same issue. We speak with each of them in person and uncover all the details needed to build a startup that is highly likely to be in demand ā and therefore successful.
Soon we'll publish the first «Validated Problem» on ProblemHunt.
Best regards,
Boris and Victoria

Nice idea! How did you settle on 20 as the minimum number for validating a problem?

@andreitudor14Ā Thank you!
That's a very good question. Actually, the more people, the better, but based on our personal experience launching our own startups ā it was exactly 20 people that helped us most accurately understand whether people have a problem and what exactly we need to build for them. š

How does it work? Do you pick any problem from your platform and interview people? Where will you find that aspirational sample?

@busmark_w_nikaĀ Hi, Nika! š
Yes, that's right ā first we take the problems that have been posted on ProblemHunt, and then we look for other people who are also experiencing that problem.
Actually, the task of finding similar people who share the same problem is quite a challenge for us. So far, it's been pretty chaotic and difficult, so we haven't figured out a clear algorithm yet, but we're gradually working through the process. We hope it gets easier from here.
We usually look on social media and group chats where the right target audience hangs out. After that, we do a cold outreach to them. The response conversion rate is still low, but we are getting some results. That gives us hope. š

@gostroverhovĀ maybe it will make sense to search for discussions on reddit on the topic :)
