Hello 👋 excited to finally reveal what we’re been working on the past few months!
How to Build a Career in Tech is the first in a a series of eBooks we’ll be publishing, featuring the best advice from top founders, investors, best-selling authors, and world-changing leaders who’ve been guests on Product Hunt LIVE.
With the help of an awesome group of Product Hunt community members (see Makers) we've combed through 550+ LIVE Chats to bring you the best advice, categorized to save you time. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to work on this project, and we have more coming your way. Great work by @melissajoykong and @sethbwilliams from the PH Team in getting this project made, and to @GeoVasiliadis from the Viral Loops team who has also been super helpful.
If you have ✨any✨ feedback let us know in the comments, or in the reviews sections, because new features. And share your most quotable insights on social, the @ProductHunt account retweets generously.
P.S. we have a surprise for you at the end of the year. 😉

Even more personal P.S. My favorite PH LIVE moment to date (other than Snoop Dog and Max Levchin bonding over dessert) is booking @Jack to do a LIVE Chat using only emoji. 🙏
@nivo0o0 that's a really nice initiative, Niv. I am pretty sure this book will help more folks jump into tech or grow faster in tech. I was especially interested in 'Education' section of the book and was wondering whether you would suggest some resources for wanna-enter-into-tech folks. We, at Hackr.io, are helping developers learn to code in easier and more fun manner. I was wondering if we can help you anyhow in this book series?
"How to Build a Career in Tech" is an awesome book that everyone should read. I learned a lot of new things for the Tech industry and it's going to help anyone who wants to build a career in it (I think the title is self explanatory). Kudos to the Product Hunt team once again!
Pros:
Amazingly written. Super insightful content. 100% recommend it to anyone who's trying to join Tech.
This is fantastic 😻
Looking at it now, this is feels like a natural extension of Product Hunt's content. That said, I'm sure you guys juggled several ideas before deciding on a book.
@nivo0o0 care to comment a bit on why you chose that route? Thanks 🙏
@gonsanchezs we wanted to a way to highlight the content in the LIVE Chats better, as is, it's very undiscoverable. The Medium posts work, but they're small snippets compared to all the content that was on there.
We now have a database with 3,500+ *potentially useable* quotes (categorized) to choose from and highlight for other related projects as well. 🔮
@nivo0o0 that's awesome 🙌
It'd be super fun for makers to have a Product Hunt Quotes API (like Clearbit's logo API - https://clearbit.com/logo) with quick access to quotes.
Something like *quotes.producthunt.com/launching?maker=elon_musk&random=true* and BAM 💣 you have rotating quotes on launching from Elon Musk to use in landing pages, Chrome extensions or other fun little products.
