I have been using Makers for 16 weeks now and it became one of my favorite websites to visit everyday (Product Hunt is already part of the list π)
The product is easy to use and the community is positive so it's always a pleasure to use it.
The product is well-built and well-designed so it's the perfect tool to be focused on just the important things , achieving goals and enjoying the process π
Pros:
Awesome product with a great community, simple with not too many features, a product always improving, a team always listening to feedback
Cons:
No mobile app for now but it's not a big issue

Hi fellow Makers,
I'm Dalal from Kuwait and I'm a huge fan of Makers. Great job guys! I remember seeing "You're invited to the private beta of Maker Goals π" in my inbox and got so excited to use it since I was on the hunt for a "motivational buddy". I needed someone to keep me accountable to stay on track with my goals and day to day tasks and unfortunately, so many sites promised but didn't deliver. I found out that the issue was that those sites had a long registration process and the focus was more on creating the user's profile than the ACTUAL product. The users got excited to create their profiles, answer the personality and "what you're looking for" questions, perhaps start their first task and then they just never stuck around or got turned off by the end of the process.
What I like about Makers is that it forced me to write my first goal and even when I was hesitant or lazy, I'd look at other Makers goals and feel motivated to write my own. It goes straight to call to action which I appreciate. I love the cheer and comment features. I like that everything's transparent and out there, kinda reminds me of open space offices where employees collaborate more which usually boosts productivity.
I made Makers a daily habit where I..
wake up > go to the office > open Makers > insert my goals > check my email > go on with my day > and before 5pm I go back to Makers check in and see if I reached my daily goals.
As a newbie, I'd like to suggest a few things:
- A simple Makers matchmaking service where you and your accountability buddy keep each other on track (I think spaces is for that but on a group level?)
- A focus on day to day tasks. Maybe have the ability to time yourself?
- Daily/weekly progress chart
- Reward system where if you achieve your tasks you get vip status or "top maker status" (you guys can totally use that haha)
- A more user friendly experience on Makers platform. I hope you guys are planning to make it it's own product outside of ProductHunt. It's too good not to!
- It's own iOS and Androip app. People use cell phones more than desktops (https://www.statista.com/statist...)
So grateful to be a part of the private beta experience. All the best!
@dalalaldilaimi thanks for the kind words and thoughtful ideas! We'd love to build a mobile app and explore other ways we can make Makers more useful + a daily habit for people.

This platform is another means of self-motivation. Great idea! Thank you. I already use. And its real benefit. And although our team makes a more effective application :))), I'm still here, I meet friends.
