This is great! I really enjoy the change back to the vertical. It seems more streamlined and less cut off. Horizontal seemed to focus on certain products that were at the top because of screen real-estate, scrolling down just seems more "fair"? Also, LOVE that upcoming LiveChats are visible on the side, way more visibility and mental reminders. "discover your next favorite thing' indeed! :D

Cool product @rrhoover... I need product hunt for android.

@_jidesakin I'd love a PH Android app but a majority of the community right now is on iOS and need to focus on that + the web first. Some day! 😀

Love the new design, the vertical feed feels more natural to me, overall looks pretty clean. I guess the upcoming products have been renamed to newest products. I like it better now.

I just loved the new version! It's more simple now to navigate and interact, congrats for that! :)

Hey Ryan and team, thanks for going back to vertical and making Tech more accessible! Would you consider making the direct product link just a we bit bigger/accessible? I often skip the comments and jump straight to the app to see what it's about first hand, then I return to read commentary.

@cublu I honestly feel good about the size of the button actions. It's hard to make them bigger without cluttering the feed.
Jack Smith
@rrhoover @cublu I do agree that that particular button could be a bit wider, to be more clickable. Especially as it's only visible when you mouse over a product.

Now that signed-in users all have custom feeds, I'd love to hear what you guys will be doing to engage new users who have not signed-up. What do they see? And how will on boarding be different/ bringing in more returning users?

@guttmnn logged out users won't see social annotations (notes of their friends' upvotes or posts) and the rankings will be driven by community upvotes at large.

Vertical is back! Great to see you guys continue to iterate. I'd been moving more and more towards the app with the previous design and this layout and personalization will probably have me coming back to the web.

MUCH better. Well done chaps! Could I suggest making the product banner image slightly darker, it feels quite noisy with the content on top. Example of changing 0.4 > 0.6 to 0.6 > 0.8 opacity.
