Bet you didn’t see this one coming. Introducing, for the first time ever, Product Hunt Rewind. Find out how your contributions helped shape Product Hunt in 2022 and how you compare to other users. 👀
Happy New Year, Product Hunters! 🥂
We’re very excited to bring you our first launch of 2023: Product Hunt Rewind ✨
Despite 2022 being a crazy, rollercoaster year (looking at you, Elon 👀), there’s reason to be excited — makers on Product Hunt continued to shape the tech narrative and launched tens of thousands of noteworthy products for other tech enthusiasts to discover.
Starting today, you’ll be able to see how your contributions throughout the year helped shape the community in a Wrapped-style experience. Look out for an email in your inbox, or simply open the Product Hunt mobile app (make sure you’ve updated to the latest version).
Without spoiling too much, here’s what to look forward to:

Rewind started as a little Hackathon project during one of our get-togethers in Austin a little over a month ago. Huge thanks to our mighty team, who made it possible so quickly!
🧡@alansiiimon, @alexis_bronchart, @bchhabra2491, @jamie_sprowl, @grangej_ny, @julian_lord, @kylerjphillips, @rsiwady, @sachindra_ariyasinghe, @sarah_wright7.
P.S.: We'll send a few PH goodies to some of those who'll be sharing their Rewind on Twitter. Make sure to use #ProductHuntRewind2022 so we don't miss them.
Thanks for making Product Hunt awesome in 2022!
👋 One of the designers at Product Hunt here! Rewind was so fun to work on, it was a real engineering, design and content effort to launch something in such a short amount of time. Excited for folks to check out their Rewind in our mobile apps. Let us know what you think 🚀
As one of the members of the team who worked on this product I am so proud of the whole team as this launch is already a success as it really embodies the maker spirit that we all love here at Product Hunt!
As @cristinaibunea mentioned we started this as a "little" Hackathon project and carried the energy all the way through to launch. I can't wait to see everyone's rewind for 2022 and look forward to what we can do this year!
Thank you to the whole team who made this possible:
- @kylerjphillips for all the designs and also for the initial "hey do you want to do this?"
- @bchhabra2491 for all your hard work and working on strange hours to get us through to the finish line!
- @sarah_wright7, @cristinaibunea and @jamie_sprowl who brought the energy and direction to the team from the start
- @julian_lord for bringing to life the share experience
- @alansiiimon and @rsiwady for the Android experience
- @alexis_bronchart for the iOS experience
- @sachindra_ariyasinghe for all your help through the finish line 😍
- @rstankov for jumping in always at the right moment when we needed you!
And well to all the makers, hunters and Product Hunt users out there who without this experience wouldn't be possible! 🤗
@flexbox thank you for being a veteran in the community! 🫡

💎 Pixel perfection
This is so clever and smart for two reasons:
1. Existing mobile users are going to share their stats which builds a viral loop
2. New users have to download the app which increases the adoption
Love this team - the design, the simplicity ❤️ Going to share my PH rewind on Twitter :)

@5harath I don't think forcing the user to do something is "clever". Builds resentment.
Hoping to be one of the top makers on product hunt rewind 2023!! Nice app, really cool! Thumbs up for the good work of the team. It would be nice to see the rewind available on the browser. :)
