Shoutouts by Product Hunt - Name drop the products that make your product awesome

In your next launch, you can highlight up to 3 products that were indispensable in building your product, along with a note explaining why you love them. They'll also be notified that you gave them a Shoutout, in case they'd like to support your launch.

This is a pretty neat feature @rajiv_ayyangar!! It will give a lot of visibility to the behind-the-scenes products that power other products!

@rakeshgoyal that's what we're hoping! Thanks for the early feedback!

This is incredibly cool! We've already utilized it for our launch. It would also be fantastic to give a shoutout to our most awesome users. 😊

@bobwilsey great suggestion! we've heard that a few times!

Love the feature @rajiv_ayyangar! Just launched with it and had the chance to shout out our partners. was a great way to give them credit for their work.

Congrats on the launch team 🚀 It sounds promising, I am curious to see how it will work out for future product launches. Are you going to rank the products that have been shouted out? That may create another front to conquer for successful products.
Rajiv Ayyangar
@milkers It won't be on the leaderboard but yes, at some point we'll create a way to browse the most-shouted-out products! I think that will be super interesting to see!

Hi Rajiv, The concept of Shoutouts really strikes a chord. It's a thoughtful way to acknowledge the tools that empower creators. I can see how this could build a stronger sense of community and appreciation among makers. It's refreshing to have a feature that encourages genuine recognition rather than just transactional interactions. I'm curious, have you seen any unique or surprising ways products have been using their Shoutouts? It must be exciting to see this feature come to life with the early access launches!
Rajiv Ayyangar
@alex_dulub It's been cool to see both early and later-stage companies being shouted out. Also the request to shoutout a customer (rather than a product that was used) is causing us to think internally.

Love the concept - I think it will be great for discovering new products over time. Honored that Stashpad Docs played a role in launching Shoutouts
Rajiv Ayyangar
@stash_new Thanks for making Stashpad!

The first ever product graph! Love it.

@gabor_cselle exactly!

Oh, nice. This would be helpful for many products to get good and genuine testimonials too
Rajiv Ayyangar
@shushant_lakhyani yup that's where this could go!

Hey, super cool feature of Product Hunt itself. Will definitely keep this in mind once I launch my own products! Wish you all the best. Also I have an idea for a product: Product Hunt weekend login. So I can keep streaking, I hate to start from day 1 again. 😂😁

Congratulations on the launch! It's a brilliant way to highlight the love and gratitude towards the products that have truly made a difference. Perhaps consider expanding the Shoutouts feature in the future to allow for more expressions of appreciation, fostering even deeper connections within the community. Looking forward to seeing the impact of Shoutouts and exploring the products you've mentioned! 😉

@yasec_kowalski thanks for the feedback!! We have floated allowing people to react to shoutouts, but are there other ways you would want to be able to express your gratitude?
