This looks like a powerful tool for data teams! Combining spreadsheets with Python and AI in a collaborative way is a genius move. Finally, a way to bridge the gap between analysts and engineers without constant back-and-forth! 🔥

Quick question—how does Quadratic AI handle large datasets compared to traditional spreadsheets? Any optimizations for performance?

One suggestion: It would be great to see integrations with platforms like Notion or Airtable for seamless data syncing. Any plans for that?

Cole Stark

@faizanjan_ Thank you for your comment! We recently shipped some huge features, and are now shifting focus on performance. We can handle just about as much data as Google Sheets, but if you're running hundreds of Python code cells at the same time, you'll likely run into issues. We're working on it!

Also, we have an integration with Notion and Airtable right now, check this out: https://www.quadratichq.com/connections/airtable-api

This is an extremely interesting tool! Use of AI to be able to quick generate charts is a very big time saver. This is one of the better use-cases of AI out there. And ofcourse having a modern, easy to use UI adds to the overall experience.

Quadratic looks like a lifesaver for working with data! Spreadsheets can get messy fast, so having AI help with coding and charts sounds really useful. Is it easy for someone with no coding skills to use all the features?

Cole Stark

@jonurbonas Absolutely! I do not have any coding skills, nor do I know how to interact with databases, but I can pull data from a Postgres DB and turn it into an insightful data visualization in seconds with Quadratic. Makes non-technical folk feel powerful!

Kudos on launching Quadratic AI! The frustration of switching between spreadsheets, coding environments, and visualization tools has been a real pain point for data analysts, so this integrated solution is timely.

How does your AI handle data validation and error detection when users are chatting with their datasets compared to traditional spreadsheet formula checks?

great product, esp the native connectors would be really helpful for quick data-analysis. All the best for launch.

Cole Stark

@nikhil_l Much appreciated!! Last week, I spun up a new Google Search Console API and connected it to a Postgres database so I can have constantly updating data on SEO metrics to visualize and chop up. So many possibilities!

This is pretty impressive. Great work and congrats on the launch!

I feel balanced by seeing how it simplifies complex data analysis for non-technical users.

how is it different from julius.ai
Cole Stark

@sankalpsthakur Julius is a notebook, Quadratic is a spreadsheet

Kabir Khorwal

Amazing product. Would love big query integration here.

had high hopes for this app but it formed badly not reading the data i had a simple spreadsheet. when i pointed out the errors the Ai apologized and said it got it wrong only to repeat the issue again. product idea is good wish it could deliver.

Cole Stark

@philhill AI is often unpredictable. We have a "Fix with AI" button if the first query returns an error, in which you have to then apply the newly generated code. However, we're actively working on passing back context to the AI for much better results the first time!
