Inspired by Product Hunt, this no-code template built on Bubble can be used to "hunt" & discuss anything by the application audience - in other words, to crowdsource notable products\services\points of interest & get honest feedback from the community about those. Save both time & sanity over coding a copy of what the PH masterminds have worked up.
Hello Product Hunters!
It’s no secret that at Zeroqode, we love Product Hunt. We follow the latest launches, engage in community discussions, and launch our own no-code products here almost every week.
We build our products without code on Bubble - the most advanced no-code platform. Emmanuel Straschnov (@estraschnov) - the co-founder of Bubble in his recent interview to Product Hunt (https://medium.com/@producthunt/...) mentioned that it’s probably possible to build Product Hunt on Bubble without code. And he might be mad at us for doing this (sorry Emmanuel :)), but here it goes - a Product Hunt inspired community sourcing website built without code today on Product Hunt :)
To make one obvious thing very clear - we are in no way trying to copy, infringe rights or in any other way harm or replace The One And Only Product Hunt. We just love it so much that we thought that some of the great ideas that PH team has brilliantly executed can be enhanced and shared with the community - without code of course.
So what we’re sharing today is actually a quick and codeless way to begin or boost your online community with a web app in your own niche or market. Inspired by Product Hunt, this no-code template built on Bubble can be used to "hunt" and discuss anything by the application audience - in other words, to crowdsource notable products\services\points of interest and get honest feedback from the community about those. Save both time and sanity over coding a copy of what the PH masterminds have created
I’m sincerely wondering what @rrhoover will think about this, and truly hope he doesn’t take it personal and won’t sue us, as this product is a real tribute to what he and his team has created :)
What do you think about it? We are excited to hear your feedback and comments and will be around all day to address them
Looking forward,
Levon from Zeroqode
@levon377 not sure how your customers will build such a stellar community without the tight product feedback loop that @rrhoover manages... Especially if they can't write code to adapt the product to their specific needs. My question is: who needs this and how would they best use it effectively when Product Hunt offers such a vibrant, rich, deep, and evolving set of tools to launch a product and grow it?
@rrhoover@chrismessina Thanks for the question Chris, the goal is not to motivate people compete with Product Hunt, but rather empowering them to create products with similar concept of hunting, upvoting and discussing. Take a look for example at the product that we ourselves built on top of this template only in about 2 weeks - it's a library of API collections for postman - https://postmancollections.com and we even hunted it https://producthunt.com/posts/po....
We think that the template can be used in hundreds of different ways. Building community requires a combination of tools - powerful technology is only one of the important components - and we want to simplify that part so people can focus on other things instead. Makes sense?
@rrhoover@chrismessina and by the way, forgot to answer your point that the product can be adapted to customers' needs without writing code. That's the whole point of this, otherwise we wouldn't build this.
@vlad_larin I think you’re answering a different question than I’m asking. I’m a developer. I want to code on top of it, to customize to my specific needs. My question is if I can build on top of what’s there?
@codecamcode just to add to what Vlad has already mentioned, Bubble opened up the plugin builder so you can write your own JS code and enhance your no-code app's front end or functionality. Also if your code is hosted on your own servers you can program an API and connect to the Bubble app via the API connector (also no-code). And of course it's possible to simply paste any html or java script snippets on app or page levels. Also check out why no-code is beneficial for developers here: https://zeroqode.com/developers
@codecamcode yep, sorry :) maybe I didn't answer that question correctly. No code development is also development in our book )
Levon has already answered that question for me, so please let us know if this makes more sense, now.

Looks clean and sharp man. Visit from indihackers 😉
So, I used Wordpress to build an online community for ideas here in Brazil (already 2# largest of the country), and this app seems to be a really interesting upgrade path, but them It comes back 2 questions: Can I migrate my users from WP for this?
And how much of the app will I be able to change after (elements, colors, etc) ?
@joaovitor2763 sorry, just noticed your question. Yes, you can migrate your users, but I guess they will have to reset passwords.. As for modifications - you will be able to modify absolutely everything.. Let me know if you have other questions
