Analyze where you spend time every week:
š Time in meetings (by meeting type)
āļø Time on tasks & habits
š§āš» Most productive days
š Work-life balance stats
ā Meetings declined & large meetings attended
š¤ Deep vs. shallow work
ā³ Focus time reclaimed
We get asked a lot -- what's the difference between "deep work" and "shallow work"?
Deep work: 2+ hour work sessions on cognitively demanding tasks
Shallow work: -2 hour work sessions on shorter, less-challenging tasks
Important distinction -- shallow work isn't necessarily any less important than deep work! But deep work is the truly tough stuff that requires your complete, undivided attention to get into a productive flow state where everything is clicking. Some examples include: developing strategy, coding, designing, analyzing data, etc.
Pro tip: Group your shallow work items together in a single session (first thing in the morning, and late afternoon are good!) so you can catch up on things like email and Slack instead of being distracted during deep work sessions.
Make sure to check out the date selector -- you can analyze past performance, and even look ahead to your upcoming week (or month) to optimize your time planning around your most important work priorities. š
