Remove old captions, keep the text viewers still need
I'm on the remover.work team. When preparing a video for a new audience, not every piece of on-screen text needs to disappear. Old captions may need replacing, while product names, labels or prices may still be useful.
For subtitle cleanup, remover.work offers automatic subtitle-area detection and manual region selection. Before processing, decide which text should stay and select only the area you want cleared. Check frames where captions move or overlap something important.
Once the cleanup is ready, add the new captions in your editor. If the original subtitles are a separate track, disable or remove that track instead of reconstructing the picture.
For your own clips, is the harder job removing the old captions or keeping the useful labels intact?
