Try Second Brain with one small thought: a first-capture checklist

by

I'm Daniel, the developer of Second Brain. If you have opened the app and wondered what to try first, start with one small, non-sensitive thought rather than importing your whole life.

Three examples, with the result to check:

1. "Remind me to buy pasta tomorrow at 6 pm."

An action belongs in Apple Reminders. Check the title, date and time.

2. "The parcel arrives on Tuesday."

A delivery is a Calendar event. With no time specified, check that it is all-day.

3. "Pasta sauce idea: roasted tomatoes and basil."

Reference information belongs in a note. Check that the useful details survived.

These are illustrative examples of the intended behavior. Inspect the receipt for each result, and confirm any pending Calendar event before relying on it.

The free local tools let you capture and manage notes, reminders, events and search without AI. Automatic AI organization is optional and paid; permission is required before selected context is sent to a provider. You can start with the local tools using the access you already have.

If you already use AI organization, try a mixed thought next: "The parcel arrives Tuesday. Remind me to clear a shelf Monday at 7 pm." Check the delivery and the action separately.

For feedback, one specific obstacle is more useful than a rating: what did you expect, what happened, and at which step? Please leave out personal details.
