I built a map where you can talk to strangers (they’re AI)

by

I’ve always liked the idea of talking to strangers in places like cafés, bars, airports — just to hear their stories.

But in reality, that almost never happens anymore.

So I started wondering:

what if you could walk into a place and someone was already there to talk to?

I built something around that idea.

It’s a map-based experience where you:

  • open a city

  • step into a real place (café, bar, etc.)

  • and meet AI characters who “exist” there

You don’t pick them from a list — you encounter them in context.

Some examples:

  • a founder who just shut down their startup, alone at a bar in NYC

  • a traveler stuck overnight at an airport

  • someone who’s been sitting in the same café for hours

Some conversations are pointless.

Some are weird.

Some unexpectedly pull you in.

Still early and experimenting a lot with it.

Curious what you think about this direction. Try it out - https://hushmap.xyz
