I built a video tool for my donation platform… then realized many others could use it

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Shaylynn, founder of Gueaux and GueauxStudio.

GueauxStudio wasn’t supposed to be its own product.

I was building Gueaux, a donation platform where those in need run campaigns. Campaigns with a video do better, so I set out to add a simple way for people to record one. Then I watched what happened: people who could talk about their cause for an hour froze the second the camera turned on. Scripts made it worse. They sounded like they were reading a hostage note.

The more people I talked to, the clearer it got. This wasn’t a donation-platform problem. Small business owners trying to collect testimonials, founders trying to explain their product, people trying to post on social: almost everyone struggles to just be themselves on camera.

So I pulled it out and made it its own thing.
