I was tired of $60/yr looped MP3 sound apps, so I self-funded Vyneural
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
Most ambient sound and focus apps follow the same playbook: they put simple 15-minute MP3 recordings behind forced signups, aggressive annual paywalls, and background tracking cookies.
As a solo indie builder, I wanted something lightweight, uncompressed, and genuinely private. So I funded Vyneural out of my own pocket and built it from scratch.
What makes it different?
Instead of streaming pre-recorded audio from cloud servers: • Pure Web Audio API synthesis: Waveforms (Beta, Gamma 40Hz, Theta, Delta) and nature textures (rain, ocean, forest) are calculated live on your device's hardware in real time.
• Zero audio compression: Standard MP3 streams can alter subtle phase shifts; synthesizing pure sine waves locally preserves the exact mathematical difference ($\Delta f$) required for the binaural beat effect.
• 100% Free & Private: 28 core presets work instantly with zero login, zero ads, and no tracking.
• Mobile Apps: Available on the web and as an open-source Android app supporting true background playback, lock-screen controls, and system alarms.
Current status & looking for feedback
We currently have our first 20 active users testing the tool for deep work, ADHD focus, and sleep routines.
As an indie maker with zero marketing budget, your honest critique means the world to me:
Does the interface make sense on your first visit, or is the frequency matrix intimidating?
How smoothly does the real-time audio mixer perform on your setup?
