Meldport is on Product Hunt tomorrow. What do you look for in a model route catalog?
by•
Hey, I moved the EidosStack AI Gateway into Meldport. It gives developers a public catalog of model routes with IDs, capabilities, context limits, and published rates, so you can check the route details before integrating.
Language routes use an OpenAI-compatible chat completions endpoint. Image, video, and audio run through separate asynchronous workflows when available.
Meldport is public now, and its Product Hunt page is scheduled for Nov 3 at 3:01 PM Jakarta time. If you work with model APIs, I'd appreciate a look and honest feedback on what you'd want to see before choosing a route.

Published rates per route is the first thing I'd look at, so that's a good call. The other thing I need before switching is to test the quality myself. We moved one summarizing job to a local Qwen model, but only after checking the output was good enough. Being able to run a quick side by side on a couple of routes before integrating would help a lot.
@hisashispace Good point. Rates and limits help narrow the list, but I still need to see how a model handles my actual prompt. A quick side-by-side test before integrating would make that decision easier. Thanks for sharing your workflow.
