Replying to 10 Google Play reviews used to take me an hour. Now it’s mostly automatic
The idea came from a very real problem I had as an indie developer. As my apps and games grew, replying to Google Play reviews stopped being manageable. More users, more reviews, multiple languages - but I still didn’t want to ignore them, because replies clearly affect ratings, trust, and overall app quality.
So I built a tool @appspeaker that helps developers handle Google Play reviews at scale. It reads only new reviews, understands what they’re about, and drafts replies in your own tone, instead of generic AI answers.
During testing on my own apps and games, I spent a lot of time refining custom instructions so the replies actually sound like the developer, not a bot.
In short, it focuses on three things:
Automatic replies to new Google Play reviews, with full manual control when needed
Custom instructions so responses match how you explain issues and answer user questions
Support for all languages, without writing separate templates per locale
It’s built mainly for developers with growing or popular apps who care about user communication but don’t want to spend hours every day answering the same questions.
If you’re dealing with review overload and want to see how it works, I’m happy to show it. Feedback from other developers is very welcome.
Thanks! Wojciech
