🚀 Road to 1,000,000 #Votap users — Day 6 | Current: 73

“Evil corporations want to track your every move.”
That’s what the internet will tell you 😅
Reality?
Not quite.
This screen you see in the image is called ATT — App Tracking Transparency.
Apple introduced it in iOS 14 to give users control over whether apps can track them across other apps and websites.
❌ If you tap “Ask App Not to Track”
→ we don’t get a personal advertising ID
→ ads are less accurate
→ installs are still counted, just more anonymously
✅ If you tap “Allow”
→ we can understand which topics or posts brought you to Votap
→ which helps us improve the app and avoid wasting money on bad ads
Either way:
👉 we do NOT see who you are
👉 we do NOT track you personally
👉 we do NOT sell your data
Why does Votap ask for it?
Because tools like AppsFlyer help us answer questions like:
• which social posts bring real users
• which ads actually lead to people voting
• what content is worth building more of
When you don’t allow tracking, Apple still gives us anonymous, aggregated data (via something called SKAdNetwork), just with much less detail.

@sarah_bantu My apologies for not seeing this earlier Sarah! Thank you for following us it's been exciting. Most users are coming from ads right now we are testing some variants but about 5-10 users daily from that. Secondly we just started attending an accelerator program in London. Networking with other founders is a huge deal as well! Wish you all the best.
