Why NovaVoice?
- NovaVoice is a desktop application for macOS and Windows — no hardware, no waitlist, no vaporware. It is live and free to download today.
- NovaVoice is not just a dictation tool. It eliminates the three most common friction points in a knowledge worker's day: switching to ChatGPT to process a thought, switching apps to send a message, and the gap between how fast you think and how fast you can type. It addresses real daily pain, not a hypothetical one.
- The product is built around a single insight: the interface should disappear. Hotkey activation, context-aware formatting that matches the app you're in, a popover that applies any AI prompt to any text on screen — the experience is designed to feel like an extension of thought, not a tool you have to manage.
- The formatting engine lets users define rules in plain language: "make it sound like my grandpa" with a reference attached, or "always output send-ready emails when I dictate in Mail."
- The cross-app action layer lets users speak goals rather than navigate menus: "ask Maria on WhatsApp if the design is final." Nova treats voice as a creative and expressive interface, not just a transcription layer.
What sets it apart from every competitor?
- NovaVoice lets you define how every dictation in every app should be formatted — with any prompt you choose — and then executes tasks across apps on top of that.
- NovaVoice starts there and adds an AI assistant that answers questions without leaving your current screen, and an action layer that completes tasks in other apps.
- NovaVoice works in your context — it sees what you're looking at, responds to what you select, and acts in the apps you already use. It is what Siri should have been for the person who works in Claude, Notion, Linear, and Slack all day.
- NovaVoice combines task execution with a full formatting engine and ambient AI assistant — and is built explicitly for the power user who wants all three without switching tools.

It’s true—everyone’s so fixated on phone apps that they’ve completely forgotten there are people who spend most of their time at a computer, and that’s exactly where a voice assistant is needed.

@maria_anosova A voice assistant for phones is what we actually started from, but we then switched to a voice assistant for desktop. We've built NovaVoice from a personal pain point, and it speeds me up so much during the workday by now.
