Your Phone Already Knows Youโ€™re Addicted. Weโ€™re Building AntiRot to Fight Back.

Your phone already knows youโ€™re addicted. AntiRot is trying to do something about it. ๐Ÿ›‘๐Ÿ“ฑ

My partner and I got tired of the usual approach to screen time: show people a report telling them they spent 4 hours on TikTok, then expect them to somehow stop tomorrow.

Knowing you're doomscrolling isn't the same as being able to stop.

That's why we're building AntiRot around a different idea: rules + blocking + friction.

Here are some of the things you can do with it:

๐Ÿ”’ Block apps & websites
Block the apps and websites that consume your attention, including access through supported browsers.

๐Ÿง  Rules-first blocking
Create your own rules around what gets blocked and when. You're not limited to a generic daily screen-time allowance.

๐ŸŽฏ Focus modes
Create different environments for different parts of your day โ€” like Deep Work when you need to focus or Wind Down when you're trying to stay off your phone at night.

โธ๏ธ Add friction to impulsive scrolling
Instead of instantly opening a distracting app, AntiRot can introduce friction that gives you a moment to reconsider what you're about to do.

๐ŸŒ Apps + websites
Blocking an app shouldn't mean you can simply open the same distraction in your browser. AntiRot is designed to tackle both.

๐Ÿ“Š Stats & progress
See how your behaviour changes over time and whether your rules are actually helping.

โš™๏ธ Build your own system
We're not trying to tell everyone how they should use their phone. The goal is to give you the tools to create a system that works for you.

We're building AntiRot because willpower isn't always enough when the apps you're fighting are specifically designed to keep you scrolling.

We're still refining it and getting ready for our Product Hunt launch.

If you could make one app impossible to access when you're trying to focus, what would it be? ๐Ÿ‘‡
