@jpgohil93 Hey Jayesh, that's a fair point. We chose the name 'Shadow' to emphasize its role as a constant, reliable companion that works efficiently in the background. Like a shadow, it's always there, supporting you without being intrusive. While it does act as a co-pilot in many ways, handling tasks and ensuring no detail is missed, the name 'Shadow' reflects its ability to do this seamlessly, without overshadowing the human elements of meetings and collaborations!

Great work! I always take a ton of notes in meetings... which takes away from my ability to stay fully engaged. However, even if I could use this on my company computer (which blocks every LLM/AI tool), I would probably balk at using this in meetings... but mostly because it's not clear what not being a bot guarantees me in terms of privacy. How does not being a bot assure privacy? Do I have to download an LLM? If data is being sent off platform, it's a non starter. Would be concerned about potential misunderstandings with people on calls this thing "listens" to. Thanks!

@anjinks Thanks for your comment, Alex! Currently, transcription (including speaker diarization) is done locally on your device, which helps ensure privacy. However, we do use APIs to generate meeting notes and outlines, so you may need to adjust settings to meet your company's policy. We've tested local LLMs, but at the moment they aren't good enough in terms of accuracy and performance. We're working to move as much processing as possible to the device side. Shadow might not be ready for you yet, but we'd love to keep you updated!

Hi Jay! I think this is such a helpful App. Does Shadow work as a plugin for Google Meet, Zoom, etc? Or do I just need to connect each meeting to your app?

@jerrywjeong no need to connect as a plug in. Once you have Shadow on your computer, it’s able to detect when you’re using your apps if you activate autopilot mode!
