Why should I be using this over WMail (which looks almost exactly the same but is free and unlimited), Franz, or Rambox?

@jsnfwlr Very similar basic foundation but we wanted to really zero in on customers with multiple Mail, Calendar & Drive accounts and solve the pain point of switching between those. We've put a lot of time into designing Shift and differentiating it as the most beautiful, and simple to use option. We all spend far too much time on email for it not to be! Q1 will be another big release for Shift, so stay tuned for more features and support that will continue to set us apart.

Wow! This is awesome. I am a consultant and manage 3+ inboxes and calendars so this is a HUGE improvement to my previous workflow.

Just installed it, but I don't know, I'm not comfortable at all with this. First of all Shift is an app to be installed, and this is against the philosophy to stay light. Moreover, using Shift I can't use all the Chrome extensions that are essential for me. So, IMHO the advantages using Shift are really few against the drawbacks I said before.

@pietro_blu_giandonato Thanks for the feedback. Shift is an electron app/requires installation. The beauty of that - if you have 2 or 3+ accounts connected - is that it actually runs faster than three tabs on Chrome would. Extension support is also on its way for Q1. Hopefully we can woo you then!

Being a pro user for a while now , I really like the product.

But now I have to upgrade my subscription from pro to advanced for 99$ per year?!

This make no sense - at least make this upgrade free for long time users.

Wavebox have basically the same functionality for 19$ per year.

Don't like greedy software vendors - I'm canceling my current pro subscription.

Pros:

Cons:

Too expensive!

I agree. I'm a current subscriber who was excited until I saw the price. I LOVE TryStation.com...thanks for the Wavebox recommendation, I might use that for more gmails.

Hi Boris - thanks for the feedback. We have expanded our offering significantly with Shift 2.0. As an existing Pro user, you would be grandfathered into the new Pro version (with Google Services and Notification Muting added to your plan, at no cost). Our Advanced plan is very unique, offering Unified Search, and support for web apps + Boomerang and Grammarly. Hope that helps!

I agree with Boris. I really like this product. It's slick and beautiful but I can get the same experience from its competitors for much, much less. Much as I want to continue to support its development (it really has grown extremely well since I have begun using it) I won't pay $99 a year.

In trying the Pro version, how do I know if the coupon code has been applied? I attempted to use the first users code, but I'd like to know if that was applied, especially given that a credit card is required.

This looks great! Gmail works nicely. Issue with Outlook though...it lets me sign in to my company's outlook (via organization sign in, step 2), but then after connecting the account, and I click 'start using' (step 3), the Outlook tab shows the default Outlook public login website, not my company's domain.
