Been using this since alpha. It's not a simple gimmick stuck on top of GPT like most AI these days. It actually helps through assessment of existing material and simulation of writing style. As an ADHDer the biggest benefit it brings is that "i don't want to answer this simple email because it's too hard" scenario where I'd leave it for months unanswered. Now I just prompt the AI and it gets me unstuck. And for those new to Shortwave, here's what you should know: 1. it's google inbox reincarnated. finally. 2. they have an actual business model: you pay for it.

crazy how this app isnt upvoted to heaven right now. best email platform ive ever used. and ive tried literally every single one—except Superhuman cuz who tf would pay that much for email? Shortwave is disgustingly fast and has every keyboard shortcut you could ask for. But what i care about is how easily i can process emails. I was never inbox zero on the daily—until shortwave. I keep being flabbergasted why everyone passes this one by.

Loved the premise but disappointing experience: asked the AI if it could archive all the emails from a given sender. Bot said yes if I upgraded to premium. I asked it to confirm that functionality - which it did. I upgrade and first thing I ask it to do is to then archive those emails. It tells me then it can't and doesn't have that capability...

@carter_foxgrover1 Hi Carter — I'm sorry to hear this was your experience! The AI Assistant is not currently able to take actions like pinning emails or marking them as done (although it'd be super cool to give it this ability in the future). I'm sorry to hear it misrepresented its abilities prior to your purchase, though. Unfortunately, AI does still hallucinate from time to time. I see you wrote into our support mailing list. congratulations on launching Shortwave Andrew! The advanced search feature would help a lot of people since Gmail's Advanced search feature is not so powerful and often gives irrelevant results! You can target this segment of the market - C suite executives who have a cluttered email inbox! also managers who are managing a tech team or a marketing team!
