Screen Sharing in Slack - A simple way to share your ideas and your screen

Is it available for free tier too? Currently I use Google Hangout and Zoom.

Awesome... we missed it day and night. Now this completes it.

Slack should probably iron out the performance issues with their existing VOIP and video solution before rolling out screen sharing. I haven't found either to be particularly stable when compared to Hangouts or Skype.

We do pair programming and daily calls with slack in our software project.

Pros:

+ works flawlessly

+ great sound and audio quality

+ you can scribble on the screen or remote control another computer

Cons:

- reactions could be more prominent for group calls

- when joining a slack call there should be an option to auto mute

One more reason to many other why to use Slack.

great, although none of the tools come close to the screen sharing experience available under native macOS :(

Is there a way to share just a window, instead of the full-screen? Or is it on the roadmap? Don't want everyone to see my messy desktop :)

@one16th highly anticipated feature. Will app developer be able to programmatically trigger screen sharing? E.g. a button that would launch a screencast to a channel from an app. This would terrific for our Slack app Paste http://paste.fiftythree.com which teams use today to quickly gather, organize, and review their work. A quick way to do team presentations.

Slack needs to be bought by Google and made free with unlimited integrations. End of Story.
