Just tried it. Very interesting approach that is a good match to current day and age or low attention spam, and get to the point mentality.

Are the Discover partners based on location? It seems like they might be. I would pay you money to get Daily Mail off my list while in the UK and replace it with ESPN. Especially for Super Bowl week. Disappointed, but I guess to be expected.

No way to share content in these stories. I thought one was good (sportscenter top 10) and want people to know, either on Snapchat or elsewhere and I can't share. Hopefully that's just for MVP. Being able to direct another person to the ESPN account would only boost engagement.

Nicely packaged content, I like how you can easily swipe through the teasers and then swipe up to see the full content for ones that catch your attention. Also cool how the logos change to have a white background after you view a story so you can see which channels have new content.

I thought it was strange to see sponsored content within the ESPN channel. Seems a bit muddled to me to have ESPN carry it's sponsor deal over into a medium that they don't own. I'm surprised Snapchat allowed it. It felt like an oddly placed ad in a freemium game like Trivia Crack. The movie trailer had nothing to do with ESPN's content and it really detracted from the overall experience for me. Snapchat could establish their own separate partnerships for content like that but I'd imagine they would prefer to make it feel more tailored to their style/audience as opposed to showing the same old movie trailer that anyone can see anywhere else.
Had a play with this and not sure if it's just too early to see the full picture or it's just disappointing. It feels like they basically crammed in a sponsored feed reader and took a step back from what they did with stories. Right now, discover feels like a wall of text compared to the rich story telling they pulled off with stories.
I had expected much more after playing with stories, but this just feels out of place and a little janky with what they've done in the past. Maybe it'll get better in time.

The interesting thing here, to me, as a non-Snapchat users but someone who has checked it out on occasion, and just re-downloaded to take a peek, is how different this is than what they originally did.
