the aesthetics are so good man, are you a developer or a designer, anyways it's a cool product and maybe someday someone will use this to write something fron their mind and that thought will someday be a product on product hunt 🀯

@adxxtya Thanks! My full-time job is design, but I like to code a little in my free time πŸ™Œ

Hey, love the idea behind your new app, so simple yet effective, it's amazing how you've made it real in just a weekend, I've been using it and really appreciate the focus on privacy and minimalism, any plans to add features like a dark mode or maybe a way to organize thoughts better perhaps through folders or tags, it's super useful as it is but I'm curious about what's next for it
Nick Mikulin
@chloeupmanrh Hello, thanks a lot for your feedback! Dark mode is already there, it turns on automatically depending on your device theme πŸ™Œ As for tags, you can filter by pressing any existing tag in the feed on the right, which also works for mood. But I plan to add more complex search, filtering and mood calendar! The plan is just super carefully add features without breaking the original concept.

So many minimalistic note apps out there, like Simplenote or Standard Notes, and this feels like a weekend project for the founder to scratch an itch, makes you wonder if it’s really better or just another option, also the no sync feature might be a dealbreaker for anyone who needs to access their notes on multiple devices Secure local storage is cool but if your browser crashes or you clear cache, isn't all your data gone? it's a risk worth considering, feels like a niche solution to a common problem, interesting idea tho
Nick Mikulin
@bizdevpro10 Thanks, Delphine! I'm totally not competing with the likes of Simplenote and this definitely is a passion project for me. There are more powerful alternatives for journaling. As for risks, that's true. The only way is to export data manually from time to time, but I will think about an option of making it an installable app to keep data on-device πŸ™Œ

I think this tool is a great idea, super helpful for anyone needing a quick, private space to jot down their thoughts, Maybe it needs a bit more polishing but love how it's all offline and secure, good job on creating it from scratch.

I love the simple and clean UI, congratulations @nklmkln ! This is very inspiring to see what can be accomplished by just using HTML/JS/CSS and IndexedDB. Great job!
