I was responding to a question and realized that no one has ever hunted Vim, so thought I'd be the first. Vim doesn't need any introduction. Long story short, it's built off Vi, is one of the most famous text editors ever made (yes, emacs included), and is so incredible that most people can't seem to quit using it. I couldn't find Bram Moolenaar, so if anyone knows his handle, it would be fun to add him. Regardless, I've used Vim for most of my programming life, and it's probably the most vital piece of software I use in my daily life.
