The hardest part of expense tracking is not understanding your spending. It’s stopping every time you buy something and logging it manually—typing it out, entering the amount, choosing a category, or, at best, scanning a receipt if you have one. It’s a small task, but repeated often enough, it becomes the reason people quit.
That’s the problem I wanted to solve with SpendVoice.

Voice as the input for expense logging actually closes the friction loop apps keep losing on. What does it do when someone says "lunch with Sam, my half"?
@mcarmonas Great question. In cases like “lunch with Sam, my half”, the app focuses on extracting the actual expenses — so it would log only your share as the amount, not the full bill.
The goal isn’t just transcription, but understanding intent — so phrases like “my half”, “split”, etc. are interpreted contextually. Still improving this layer, but that’s exactly the direction.
