Hey! So I've been working on a little side project and would love some people to take a look if you get a chance 🙏
It's an app for new parents called Sprout, Local community where you can ask questions and find other parents nearby, batch-cook recipes ,an AI assistant you can ask anything at 3am (including sending a photo if you're worried about something), deals on baby stuff, and a marketplace to swap or give away all the gear they grow out of in five minutes 😅

The honest answer is I built this because I became a dad and couldn't find anything that felt like it was made for real parents rather than an idealised version of parenthood.
Everything out there was either a baby tracker, a generic forum, or so relentlessly positive it felt disconnected from what the first few months actually feel like — exhausting, overwhelming, and weirdly isolating despite millions of people going through exactly the same thing at the same time.
So I started building Sprout. The idea is simple: local community so you can find parents near you with a baby the same age, an AI assistant you can ask anything at 3am without judgment (including sending a photo of something you're worried about), batch-cook recipes built for when you're sleep-deprived with one hand free, and a marketplace to swap or give away the gear your baby grows out of in five minutes.
I'm a Commercial Director by day with no engineering background — built the whole thing using Lovable and Claude, which felt fitting given the AI assistant is powered by Claude too.
Still very early and would love brutal honest feedback. What's useful, what's missing, what's confusing. Nothing is too harsh.
