Sunrise is a journaling app designed to relieve anxiety. Main features include "Guided Templates", which are evidence-based journal templates for mental health, and Encouraging Feedback, which provide encouraging yet anonymous feedback on your journal entries.

Congrats, Kelly,I tried out your product briefly, and it's a great idea. However, my initial experience suggests there's room for improvement in the UI. It’s a bit tricky to input text on mobile, so I’d recommend adding more input assistance or including a voice-to-text feature. Also, could you consider adding some gentle background music? It would be really helpful for relaxing.

We do have a "Do Nothing" Timer that's meant for you to listen to music / background noise and relax. :) There's also a Bedtime Stories section, where we're planning to add relaxing music! Or did you want to listen to music while you wrote the journals? 🤔

@kellypoly @nicolepark @kuu44 thanks for your support - great questions! 1) we currently have 8 different templates: gratitude, communication, relationship, mood journal, expressive writing, morning pages, night time writing. these were based on numerous user interviews! we're planning to add more guides every month going forward as well. 2) happy to! So while users write their journal entries, they can request "Encouraging Feedback". The responses to these requests are AI-generated, and polished by a human. During this process, we have no idea who sent these requests, ensuring anonymity! We just want to have a human double check on the feedback jic. 3) can't believe you found the sunflower widget already! actually a lot of people haven't found the feature to begin with 🤔 appreciate you taking the time to check us out. please let us know if you have any additional questions!

@surenganne wow - thanks so much for your support and great questions! 1. All requests for encouraging feedback are completely anonymous. In other words, we have no idea from who sent these requests. The responses are AI-generated, and polished by a human. 2. Of course - I'll share more details about my favorite guide: Gratitude Journal. A non-evidence based approach would be simply writing about the 5~10 things you're grateful for. Our guide is based on research done by famous Stanford professor Andrew Huberman and his suggestions are to regularly write about (1) a story that's particularly meaningful for you (2) what the struggle was (3) what the help was (4) how that impacts you emotionally. According to Huberman, writing in such a way actually rewires your brain. 3. Boosting content: we're going to significantly invest in growing our library of journal templates, daily prompts and Bedtime stories. Additional features: advanced notification features (currently very rudimentary for our standards). Long-term vision: safest digital space to reflect, relax and recharge! 4. More affordable than digital therapy. More interactive than meditation apps. More focused on science-backed mental health templates than other journaling apps.
