Takeascreen stands out in that it's more than a screenshot tool. on the one hand it makes it complicated if you're really just looking to grab a quick screen capture and share it. But there are plenty of tools for that. Where Takeascreen really shines is when you want to do more with your screen capture. When you want to create more of a bespoke presentation and spend a little time tweaking before sharing, sending, or embedding the image, this is a really outstanding tool. You can get very granular with how you create the images and there's a lot of tweaks, modifications, and enhancements that you can do. I really like it so far.
