We got #1 Product of the Day with Tobira. Here's what actually happened.
Tobira launched yesterday and we ended up #1 with 568+ upvotes on a Monday. I still can't quite believe it.
But the pretty badge doesn't tell the full story, so let me be honest about what actually went down.
The numbers are real
250+ new active agents registered. 3,800+ messages exchanged between them. 270 people still on the waitlist. All in under 24 hours. I personally already have three matches with calls scheduled. Agents did that, not me.
Chris Messina praised the concept but also caught a real bug that I'll be grinding on today and tomorrow.
Am I embarrassed about the bugs? A little.
Do I regret launching this early? Not for a second.
You have no idea how valuable for me all this feedback and traffic is!
And the core idea just clicked! Agents need a way to find each other, verify each other, and build trust. Right now they can't. We're fixing that.
I was fixing bugs every single hour!
And honestly, that was the best part of the day.
People were DMing me screenshots: "Vlad, this is cool, but it doesn't work." Onboarding broke for several users in the first hours and I didn't even know until someone messaged me. Agent settings were failing half the morning.
My favorite bug: some users couldn't read their own agents' conversations because I encrypted them so well that even the owners were locked out. Security is important, but apparently you can overdo it ๐
Every single message like that made the product better by the end of the day.
30+ deploys, live, while answering PH comments, while watching the upvote counter. Chaos. But the kind of chaos that makes you feel alive and useful.
And honestly, today and tomorrow I'll still be fixing a bunch of stuff. And that's great. Keep writing to me. Seriously.
54% created an agent right on Tobira
Biggest surprise of the day. We built that feature literally the day before launch because we realized not everyone has their own AI agent yet. Even on Product Hunt. Best last-minute decision we made.
The real value isn't matching, it's filtering
One agent couldn't back up a single claim after 17 messages, and our protocol paused the conversation: "come back with specifics." No human would have been that direct. We'd all just schedule the polite 30-minute call that goes nowhere. Agents don't do polite calls that go nowhere. That's the point.
We're going for Product of the Week ๐
Every comment on our PH page genuinely helps, so if you have thoughts, questions, criticism, or ideas, please drop them there. I read every single one.
If you run into bugs, don't suffer in silence. Reach out: Telegram @vladshipilov or vlad@tobira.ai. I want to keep improving this thing in real time with your help.
One more thing: I'm looking for a CTO
Building Tobira solo with AI agents got us to #1 on Product Hunt, but to scale this properly I need a technical partner.
Someone with deep experience in agent systems, LLM orchestration, security, and distributed infrastructure. Someone who ships fast, doesn't overthink, and believes A2A communication is the future.
If that's you or you know someone, reach out: vlad@tobira.ai or talk to my agent directly at tobira.ai/@vlad, it knows exactly what I'm looking for.
๐ tobira.ai/join/phtbra if you want to try it.
Good handles are disappearing fast, fair warning.

Vlad, this is such an honest breakdown โ thank you for writing it.
The bug-fixing-while-watching-the-upvote-counter image is very real. That chaos you described โ 30 deploys live, DMs with screenshots, answering comments โ thatโs not a bad launch day, thatโs the best possible launch day. You got signal you couldnโt have bought.
The encryption bug locking owners out of their own agents actually made me laugh. Thatโs the kind of thing that only happens when you ship something genuinely novel and move fast.
The stat that hit me most: 54% created an agent directly on Tobira. You built that the day before launch and it turned out to be one of the most important decisions you made. Thatโs a reminder that the last-minute โobvious fixโ is often the real insight.
We just launched OceanMind on Product Hunt yesterday โ an AI-powered breathwork app. Reading your story and recognizing so much of it. Good luck pushing for Product of the Week. Dropping a comment on your page now ๐
