TopoLines 2.0 - Two readings of any terrain: contour lines or Points

TopoLines traces topographic contour lines from real elevation data, anywhere on Earth. 2.0 adds Points, a glyph field driven by the same terrain, plus annotation layers and a vector basemap. Free to try in the browser; HD PNG + SVG export on credits.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Alexis, and I build TopoLines on my own. It started because I needed contour lines for a design project, and every route I tried meant either installing QGIS and learning GIS from scratch, or buying something stylised that I couldn't edit. I just wanted clean, accurate lines from real elevation data that I could take into Figma. So TopoLines does one thing: you draw a zone anywhere on Earth and it traces the contour lines from real terrain data (30 m worldwide, and down to 5 m where national datasets exist). You tweak the interval, stroke, colours and labels in the browser, then export a PNG or a clean SVG with named layers. What's new in 2.0 Points: a second way to read the same terrain. Instead of lines, a field of dots whose size and colour follow the elevation. It's one switch in the editor, on the same data. Annotation layers: index contours, peaks, depression ticks and a grid, each with its own settings. A new vector basemap, light and dark, which makes the zone you're about to trace much easier to read. SVG built for design tools: groups are named, so it opens tidy in Figma or Illustrator. Pricing: everything is free to try in the browser. HD exports and SVG cost credits, sold in packs. There's no subscription, so you only pay when you export something. I'd really like to hear: What you'd use it for. People keep surprising me (map design, data viz, game levels, backgrounds…). What's missing for your workflow. GeoJSON/DXF export and uploading your own DEM are already high on the list. I'll be in the comments all day. Thanks for checking it out 🙏
