@michael7ritchie Hi there, I'm the CTO at Truebill. The app is actually a React Native app (I love React + React Native!) For now, it's actually a hybrid of React Native + Webviews. Moving forward, we will continuously improve the app and convert more and more of it from Webviews to React Native.

As Truebill is asking for our bank credentials, how is security handled ?

@marcaime we use the Plaid API to get a list of your transactions, which are then scanned by our algorithm. You can read about Plaid's security here: https://plaid.com/security/

Truebill is one of those products that makes you think, "wow, how has this not been how the world works" the first time you try it. I now have a dashboard view of all the recurring payments I make across all my credit cards plus Paypal. It makes a big difference to see everything in one place. (Particularly because I have work stuff, like AWS, on a card that I pay the bill for, personally!) Highly, highly recommended.

@mostlymarius We actually integrated Yodlee as a 2nd API partner to expand international support. We support several hundred Canadian institutions and both Plaid and Yodlee are constantly adding more.

@yahyamokh The reason I ask is that when TrueBill first hit PH I signed up and tried to add my account (with RBC) but my credentials weren't accepted, and having just tried them again I'm seeing the same problem. So even though my bank shows up in the list, it doesn't seem to be working.

@idris I am having some problems. I just signed up with facebook, linked my bank, and it lagged and kicked me out. Now wont allow me to log in with facebook!

I love that this works in the UK (at least on the web), but it would be super nice if it used the user's local currency :)

Interesting. Will dl and check it out. I hope it works with service providers in Dubai. I loved mint but they couldn't work outside the US. What's the revenue model here ?

@adnandawood Truebill makes revenue on intelligent recommendations. For instance, if we see that you have subscriptions X and Y, we might recommend you try Z.
