Why is this only available in the US?? 😭 I’m so jealous of US citizens who can use this and Google Duplex. I feel really bad when picking up calls from strangers, and this would be super helpful to me.

@anna_0x Hey Anna! It’s currently optimised best for telecom operators in the US. Moreover, it needs a lot more work on supporting new languages/accents which is what we’re working on and we’ll launch soon in other markets too.

@trppr I’m sure adding new languages is a ton of work, but English would be fine for me~ (But, as you said, the accent plays a role too and there’s a lot of them in Europe.) I’m not sure what “optimised best for telecom operators in the US” means in practice though. Anyway, hope to see this launch in the EU sooner than later!

@anna_0x hey Anna, Thanks for a great response! The feature depends on how calls are forwarded (Conditional Call Forwarding), how the Assistant "picks up" the call and how they are re-routed back to the user (if you want to talk to the caller) and all of this depends a lot on your telecom operator. If you can tell me which country/operator you're on and if you'd like to join our beta program, I can sign you up and try to enable the feature for you. It'll be great to get some feedback from you!
