Monetize real-time communications. Set a price per message for incoming texts and a price per second for voice and video calls. It's the ideal messenger app for people with a high volume of inbound communication or anyone who provides paid virtual services.

It's sort of a long story...
I had the idea for Ultra Messenger on July 20, 2021 - epiphany style. For the previous 10 years, I had been working in the adult video chat industry doing user acquisition and onboarding - through that, I spent countless hours analyzing the sales patterns of cam sites, and always found it really cool.
That being said, I was haunted by the idea that the pay-per-use monetized communication revenue model that all cam sites use was really only popular within the adult video chat industry (and was sort of pioneered by the erotic phone line industry decades ago). I felt that in the age of "everyone wanting to be an influencer" and many succeeding in using social media to build huge audiences, there had to be a mainstream application of this real-time monetization logic.
I'd left the adult industry early in 2021 and had been spending my days playing poker and learning better how to code, loosely planning on getting a job in tech once I'd built up a portfolio. In building that portfolio, I worked on a chat app for my showcase, and it was in the weeks building that that the idea for Ultra Messenger all came together.
I've worked on it basically every day since then. We launched the beta version in May of 2022, and made it public in January of 2023. Things are picking up speed pretty fast and we're getting ready to raise our seed round. It's still very early days, but all of the charts look right, and what was an idea in the shower one morning has turned into a full-time team of 5, with a few thousand users, and more than 0 dollars in sales.
