@emily_kellert very cool!
Calendar blocking is the best one for me, it keeps on track and I can't miss it since it is the tool I use the most every day

the most consistent habits i have aren't tracked in any app — they're tiny delightful things with a natural endpoint

wordplay (wordplay.studio.gold) — one cryptic crossword clue per day. that's the whole product. you can't do more than one. the streak is the motivation but the clue itself is the reward. been doing it every day for months, it never felt like discipline

astrologica (astrologica.app) — 5-minute personalised horoscope podcast every morning. not "habit tracking" exactly but it's a daily check-in i genuinely don't want to skip

the things that stuck for me have two things in common: they're enjoyable in themselves (not just virtuous), and they're single-serving so there's no decision fatigue about how much to do

habit trackers that require you to log things have never lasted for me. these don't require any logging, they just exist and are good 🙏
