A little about why I developed Gift List Planner & Tracker

I'm Marco, or as everyone knows me as JediPixels, the maker of Gift List Planner & Tracker, and I'm excited to share this with you today!

Why I built this:

Like most people who struggle with gift planning, forgotten ideas, overspent budgets, duplicate purchases, and last-minute scrambling. I looked for apps to help, but found they were either generic to-do lists or overly complicated. Some were too simple. So I built something specifically designed for gift planning.

The problem:

Gift planning fails because we use tools that weren't designed for it.

We need:

Visual organization (photos prevent duplicates)

Real-time budget tracking (before you overspend)

Connection between people & occasions

Status progression (idea → purchased → arrived → wrapped → gifted)

Shopping lists we can actually use

How it evolved:

Started as a wish list app, but I wanted more. Added budget tracking, photos, and status tracking. The most requested feature? PDF export with clickable store links—now included!

Huge shoutout to @RevenueCat for making the Premium subscription system seamless—saved me weeks of development time! I use them for all of my apps' paywalls.
