A system that connect meals, groceries, budget, recipes, and schedules into one place

by

As a working mom of 3, the hardest part of my week isn’t doing things — it’s thinking about everything.

What are we eating?
How much will groceries cost?
Can we stay on budget?
Do I even have time to cook?

It’s constant mental load.

So I built Amelna — a system that connects meals, groceries, budget, recipes, and schedules into one place, and actually plans your week for you.

Here’s how it works:

Auto-pilot meal planning: Amelna builds your weekly meals based on your schedule, energy level, and your family’s preferences (including those “I don’t feel like cooking” days)

Smart grocery lists with price guidance: It automatically generates your grocery list based on your meal plan and shows a price range — so you know what you’re likely to spend before you get to the store

Real-time budget insights: If you’re going over budget, it suggests simple swaps (like frozen vs fresh, or protein alternatives) to help you save

Understands your real household: It accounts for pantry staples you already have and adapts meals for picky eaters or different preferences

Connected budgeting: Your income, expenses, and savings goals all tie in — so your weekly plan actually supports things like saving for a trip

The goal wasn’t to build another planning app. It was to build something that reduces the mental load of running a household — and keeps getting smarter the more you use it.

Would love your thoughts?

Hi Tolu,

I came across a similar product a few months ago: https://www.producthunt.com/p/self-promotion/feedback-wanted-ai-that-handles-the-what-s-for-dinner-mental-load-2

Maybe you two can collaborate or connect?

@jeff_benson1 Thanks for sharing! It’s great to see more ideas in this space—excited that Amelna is already live, and our focus now is continuing to improve it for the families already using it.
