Built a Kubernetes platform, giving it away free because we think it's useful
Hey everyone. Been working on RunOS for a while.
You know that feeling when you need a reliable Postgres setup with failover, or a Redis cluster, and you end up just using RDS or ElastiCache because configuring it yourself is a nightmare? That's the problem we're
trying to solve. Except you can run it on any hardware you want.
We feel strongly that you shouldn't be locked into a specific cloud provider just to get reliable managed services. AWS, Hetzner, a cheap VPS, your own rack, whatever works for you.
We just opened it up to anyone. No charges, no limits on nodes or clusters. Our thinking is simple: if it's genuinely useful to people, everything else will follow. Right now we just want to build something good.
Would love to hear what you think. What's missing? What's frustrating about similar tools you've tried?
