Clipboard history for Mac — fast, local, no cloud
by•
ZClipKeep brings your clipboard history directly into your Mac menu bar.
Access copied text and images instantly via a shortcut and keep your workflow uninterrupted.
Unlike many clipboard tools, everything stays 100% local on your device — no cloud, no accounts, no tracking.
Built for people who copy & paste all day and don’t want to lose anything.
I built ZClipKeep because I was constantly losing copied content while working.
Most tools I tried were either too complex or relied on cloud syncing — which I didn’t want.
So I focused on something simple:
fast access via shortcut
clean menu bar UI
local-only storage
Would love your feedback — especially how it fits into your daily workflow.
Thanks for checking it out

Love this...a local clipboard history right in the menu bar is exactly what I need for my copy-paste heavy workflow. No cloud or tracking is spot on. If you're up for it, I'm launching The Sponge on PH soon...an AI-powered flashcard app with a browser extension that turns webpages into study material via spaced repetition. Would appreciate a follow for the launch (link in profile).
@rianbrob Thanks so much, really appreciate your kind words.
That’s exactly the workflow I had in mind when building ZClipKeep — fast, simple, and completely local.
Your project sounds super interesting as well, especially the idea of turning webpages into spaced repetition content — that’s a strong angle.
I’d definitely be happy to check it out when you launch. Good luck with it.
