Does "Prompt Engineering" feel like a step backward for Senior Engineers?

by

I’ve been speaking to dozens of developers lately, and a common theme keeps coming up: we’re spending more time 'fighting the prompt' than actually architecting features.

We went from being Software Architects to being 'Translators for AI.' I built Clarity AI specifically to flip this to focus on Architectural Intent rather than just word-guessing.

Question for the community: Do you find yourself spending more time fixing AI code than it would have taken to write it from scratch? How are you handling the 'Boilerplate Fatigue' in 2026?
