Game Designer's new Tool - Itembase.dev
Hey everyone
I’m building itembase.dev a tool for game designers to structure and manage item data, progression, and economy systems more cleanly.
The idea came from a simple problem: a lot of game design workflows around items, balancing, and progression still end up spread across messy spreadsheets, docs, and ad hoc systems. That makes iteration slower and harder than it should be.
With itembase.dev I want to make it easier to:
organize item databases
work on progression and balancing
manage game economy content in a more structured way
iterate faster without losing clarity. etc
Right now I’m looking for honest feedback from people working on games.
A few things I’d love to learn:
Does this sound like a real problem worth solving?
How are you currently managing item/economy/progression data?
What would make a tool like this genuinely useful in your workflow?
Would love your thoughts.
